Cantus
Alex Potter (Basel)
Alex was a Choral Scholar and read music at New College, Oxford. He then went on to pursue further study at the Schola Cantorum in Basel with Gerd Türk. Since finishing his studies, Alex has specialised in seventeenth and eighteenth-century music, working with conductors, such as Philippe Herreweghe, Thomas Hengelbrock, Daniel Reuss, Peter Neumann and Philippe Pierlot. Solo-engagements have taken him to festivals such as the Festival internazionale di Musica e Arte sacra in Rome, the Feldkirch Festival in Austria, and the Prague Spring Festival.
Edzard Burchards (Baden-Baden)
Edzard was born in Oldenburg. He first trained as a teacher, but then studied conducting with Martin Schmidt in Karlsruhe, and took part in masterclasses, among others with Stockhausen, and studied singing with Michael Procter. His schedule includes regular work with Collegium Vocale Gent, the Balthasar-Neumann-Chor, the Vocalconsort Berlin, Al Ayre Español and other international ensembles. Edzard lives in Baden-Baden where he conducts the Collegium Musicum and camerata vocale.

Jörg Deutschewitz (Karlsruhe)
Jörg is a busy freelance singer whose repertoire ranges from chant to yesterday. He studied in Karlsruhe where he still lives. He sings 1st Tenor, sometimes 2nd Alto.
Pierre Funck (Zurich)
Pierre was born in Luxembourg. After a Doctorate in Chemistry he studed Singing with Richard Wistreich and historical music theory and composition with Martin Lubenow and Prof. Norbert Fröhlich at the Musikhochschule Trossingen, where he is himself now a music theory teacher. He is a member of the ensemble "Le Chant sur le Livre" which explores the improvisation practice of the Renaissance. Pierre is also a composer, on the one hand reconstructing early works which have survived incomplete, on the other composing and producing music for film and television.
